In this story, told in verse, the eponymous Barnaby Bennett becomes fixated on a single colour for his clothing.

Each double-page spread becomes funnier as Barnaby gathers together a strange mix of red clothing, including his grandfather’s red underpants worn over his red pyjama trousers.
