Lindsay Charman-Love

Lindsay Charman-Love (Te Atiawa, Te Whānau o Hakirau) is a short-story writer, poet and playwright. Lindsay has written poetry for most of his life and began to write short fiction in the mid-1990s. He has twice been a finalist in the Pikihuia Awards for Māori Writers in 1997 and 2001 and was a winner of the Awards in 1999.

Lindsay has produced a substantial portfolio of environmental poetry, some of which features at the Treaty Grounds in Waitangi, Trounson Kauri Park in Waipoua, and AH Reed Memorial Kauri Park in Whangarei. He currently resides in Te Tai Tokerau and is heavily involved with heritage and conservation projects.
