Stuart Murray is a Professor of Contemporary Literatures and Film at the University of Leeds in the UK with a strong interest in the issues of postcolonial encounter and settlement. Images of Dignity was the first major study on the works of Barry Barclay and Stuart began working on it while lecturing at the University of Waikato.
Currently Stuart’s research is focused in medical humanities and issues of cultural representation and narrative. He spends a large portion of his time working closely with NHS and community health groups, as well as giving seminars and lectures worldwide, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, and supervising PhD research.
