Rangi Faith is preoccupied with New Zealand's history, art and landscape. Rangi is a poet, anthologist, and reviewer currently living in Rangiora where he is writing full time. He was also a primary school teacher for many years.
As a poet, Rangi engages with both the Māori and the European experiences of landscape and language. In addition to being a writer, he is also an editor. In Dangerous Landscapes: An Anthology of New Zealand Poetry, Rangi created a collection of poetry for young adults that explores the issues that surround both Māori and European notions of history and identity.
Rangi's book Rivers Without Eels is currently out of print.
