Mo Willems

Mo Willems

Mo Willems is a writer and animator who works in television and theatre. During his time working on Sesame Street, he won six Emmy Awards for his writing on the series. Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!, his first book for children, was a New York Times bestseller and won a Caldecott Honour. Since then, he has gone on to publish many books for children and adults and his drawings and sculptures have been widely exhibited.

He has won many awards, including the Caldecott Honour (three times), the Theodor Suess Geisel Medal (twice) and five Geisel Honours.

Kaua e Tuku mā te Kukupa te Pahi e Taraiwa! is part of the translation series of storybooks that HUIA are producing.
