Dr Cheryl Smith (Ngāti Apa, Whanganui, Te Aitanga a Hauiti, Ngāi Tumapuhiarangi) is the Director of Te Atawhai o te Ao, the Independent Māori Institute for Environment and Health.
With Dr Paul Reynolds, her research interests include Māori and involuntary chemical exposure, biotechnologies and Māori, the protection of human remains, Māori research ethics, secual relationship and aspects of family.
