Dr Jessica Hutchings (Ngāi Tahu, Ngāti Huirapa, Gujarati) is an experienced kaupapa Māori researcher, mother, activist, educationalist and biodynamic gardener. Jessica is committed to developing and supporting critical thinking that challenges colonial hegemonic norms.
Jessica worked for eleven years at Victoria University lecturing in Māori environmental management, Māori science, and gender and development. She is currently living on a small organic farm north of Wellington growing organic kai for whānau, and working as the manager of Te Wāhangā at NZCER.
