Kelly Ana Morey

Kelly Ana Morey (Ngāti Kurī) is an award-winning writer whose previous novels include Bloom, which won the New Zealand Society of Authors Hubert Church Award for Best First Work of Fiction at the 2004 Montana New Zealand Book Awards, Grace is Gone, which was a finalist in Kiriyama Pacific Rim Fiction Prize 2005, and On an Island, With Consequence Dire.

She was also the inaugural recipient of the Janet Frame Literary Award for Fiction in 2005. In 2014, Kelly was awarded the 2014 Māori Writer’s Residency at the Michael King Writer’s Centre.
