Ānahera Herbert-Graves
Patukōraha hapū, is the Chief Executive Officer of Te Rūnanga-ā-Iwi o Ngāti Kahu. She also has strong whakapapa links to the northern iwi of Te Rarawa, Te Aupōuri, Ngāti Kuri and Ngāi Takoto as well as Ngāi Tai Umupuia in Tainui. Ānahera has worked in a wide range of public, private and voluntary sector jobs and has held leadership positions in Te Taitokerau and Auckland, including Secretary for Pārengarenga Incorporation, Land Claims Coordinator for Te Rūnanga o Te Rarawa, Regional Coordinator for the National Māori Sudden Infant Death Syndrome Prevention Team in Auckland, and Kaitakawaenga Māori for Tatauranga Aotearoa (Statistics New Zealand) in Taitokerau. Born in Auckland and raised in the papakāinga of Pāwarenga, Ānahera now lives with her husband in Kaitāia and has one daughter and a growing tribe of mokopuna.
