Pamela Allen has written and illustrated more than 30 picture books for children. Her books have won numerous awards, including the Gaelyn Gordon Award in 2001 forWho Sank the Boat?Pamela was awarded the Margaret Mahy Medal in 2004, and in 2005 she became a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for her work in children’s literature.
Pamela’s books are continually listed as Storylines Notable Books and have been translated around the world in languages including French, Swedish and Japanese. Her most recent books includeIs Your Grandmother a Goanna?,Our Daft Dog Danny, andThe Toymaker and the Bird.
