Ngāti Taranga hapū, is a delegate for Mangataiore marae (Victoria Valley) and the secretary of Te Rūnanga-ā-Iwi o Ngāti Kahu. She holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Auckland and has worked extensively in the disability sector. Tania held the positions of Deputy Health and Disability Commissioner and Director of the Centre for Family and Whānau Knowledge in the Social Policy Research Unit of the Families Commission before taking up her current position as Manawhakahaere (Chief Executive Officer) of Te Roopu Taurima, New Zealand’s largest kaupapa Māori disability support organisation.
