Te Kani Williams
Te Kani Williams (Te Aupōuri, Tūhoe, Whakatōhea, Tainui, Ngāi Tai ki Tōrere), is a negotiator for Ngāti Kahu’s Tiriti o Waitangi claims against the Crown and Ngāti Kahu’s legal counsel since 1997. He is a director of Wackrow, Williams and Davies law firm and has acted for a large number of Māori Tiriti o Waitangi claimants throughout the country in negotiations, the Waitangi Tribunal, the High Court and the Court of Appeal. He trained in law and Māori studies at the University of Auckland and holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts.
