Te Tāmure

Wahapū – Pūao – Te Tāmure

This new set of books will focus on four species that inhabit New Zealand wahapū: Pātiki, Whai, Tāmure, Ngā Mānawa.
Each book features full-colour images with some illustrated diagrams to support key messages. The main topics covered in each book will include oral traditions related to the origin of each fresh water species and its relationship with other organisms and kāwai tīpuna. As well as detailing the physical features, qualities and growth cycles, habitat and geographical spread throughout Aotearoa, and changes in recent times that have affected the species.
