Refund policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

You can always contact us about any return questions at sales@huia.co.nz.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know whether the refund has been approved. If approved, you’ll be refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.

If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return and you have not yet received your refund, please contact us at sales@huia.co.nz.

Shipping policy

Delivery in Aotearoa
For standard deliveries within Aotearoa, please allow for 1–3 working days. If you require an urgent delivery, please call us on 04 473 9262 before making payment.

Orders for delivery within Aotearoa that are placed before midday will be dispatched the same day. For orders placed after midday, please allow an extra day for delivery.

International delivery
International deliveries can be selected during ordering. The delivery options include:

For all international orders, a pick and pack fee of NZ$5.00 is included in the shipping cost.

Please note COVID-19 has led to delays for packages coming in and out of Aotearoa. International Courier services are being prioritised over International Air Post, and International Express Courier is the best service for urgent deliveries. However, delays may still occur. 

Addressing
All delivery addresses on orders must be street addresses. Deliveries will not be made to PO Boxes.

If parcels are incorrectly addressed by HUIA, we accept responsibility for the redelivery, replacement or refunding of the product at no additional charge. If parcels are incorrectly addressed by the customer, HUIA will not refund or resend the product; all responsibility for correcting the delivery will be borne by the customer.

Exceptions/non-returnable items

Certain items cannot be returned, including perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalised items) and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have and – once the return has been accepted – make a separate purchase for the new item.
